Edwardian Carved Shell Cameo Necklace, Sterling Silver

Everything about this Edwardian Cameo Lavalier Necklace is exceptional and in exquisite condition. A cameo of this size and quality on a necklace is really hard to find. The hard shell carving is quite good and has just the right amount of desired speckling. It is a filigree setting in rhodium plated Sterling Silver. The back is clearly marked STERLING. MEASUREMENTS: CHAIN: The chain allows for a maximum of 17" of neckline. It closes with an old fashioned push down clasp, which is also marked STER. CAMEO Pendant: From the top of the filigree to the bottom of the cameo measures 1 3/4" long. The cameo is 1" wide. The carving is medium relief. The chain is crimped and quite lovely. Not a kink or a blemish. This would be a great wedding accessory.
